Seven Mayor’s Youth Program participants are currently enrolled in Oracle Training. These students have very strong interests and aptitudes in the Computer Programming and Networking fields and all will pursue majors related to Computer Information Technology. In Oracle Training, students are taught the first half of a nationally recognized certification course on the Oracle Database Management System. Danny Bryant, a certified Oracle Trainer and AWDA staff member, will combine classroom and online instruction to facilitate the 9 week course. The class is from 9am to 1pm, Monday through Friday and each student receives $100 per week stipend for their attendance.
