Brandon Merritt, a 2007 Mayor’s Youth Program participant, is interning at the Woodruff Arts Center this summer.

Brandon entered the Mayor’s Youth Program in the fall of 2006 as the child of a City of Atlanta employee. His father works for the Department of Information Technology.

Brandon has been accepted to Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, receiving a Presidential Scholarship and Marching Band Scholarship. Brandon plans to study Religion, Philosophy and Business Administration with a concentration in management.

During Brandon’s internship with the Woodruff Arts Center, he has had the opportunity to assist in the planning and celebration of the Welcome Home event for the Tony Award that the Alliance Theater received this year. He has also assisted Woodruff’s President and CEO Joe Bankoff access the usability of the Woodruff Art Center’s websites.
